New DELHI: A special court on Friday framed corruption, cheating and criminal conspiracy charges against Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and 13 others in the 2008 Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block allocation scam case.
The case pertains to alleged irregularities in the allocation of the Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand. Four of the five private companies that are accused in the case are based in Delhi while one is a Hyderabad-based firm. The court has fixed May 11 for formal framing of charges against the accused.
